A couple of weeks ago it was crazy hair day at school. I picked up some hair color after Halloween so this year we went all out and sprayed their hair. I was a little conservative spraying the girls hair because I was worried I would have a hard time getting it out, but luckily after 2 shampoos, it did come out.
I had a yard sale for about 2 hrs on Saturday. We had a few people show up, but not too many. After I cleaned up and went to take down the signs and found them on the ground, we figured out why no one was driving down our road! I had the kids go to sleep in their clothes since we would be waking up really early, and Paige fell asleep with her boots on too.
The kids also had a lemonade stand and sold about $4.50. I was hoping to have them donate it to a charity, but since it's such a small amount I think we'll take a trip down to the food pantry in town and give it to them.
And the next few pics are proof that yes, they do get along together quite a bit and actually do have fun playing together...
They were having fun with their free pizzas from reading books at school.
Sometimes Darci looks like a zombie in the mornings not quite awake, especially on oatmeal days...
Paige was so excited she got to go to a hair and nails party for a friend at school. Before...
After....
And little Darci was SO excited she got to go to her first ever birthday party for one of her friends.
And we also went to the Renaissance Festival a few weeks ago (thanks Mom for the tickets!). It was a lot of fun. Unfortunately the kids don't understand that everything costs money and there were some tears when they were told no on a few rides.. It would be nice to go without kids or when they are older to go in all the shops and see what all is there. With Darci trying to touch everything she sees, it was impossible to do that this year.

Derek Jay
Derek is our sweet 8 year old. He loves playing video games and riding bikes and jumping on the trampoline. He loves playing with friends and his cousins. He just started piano lessons and is catching on and doing amazing. He will be playing better than me in no time. He's excited that he just got a replacement hamster (also named Raptor) that he can take care of again. He is growing up so fast!
Paige Elizabeth
Paige is ALWAYS happy to have pictures taken of her. And I have to say that the camera is always happy to take them! She is so pretty! Paige is so sweet and loves to sing and dance around the house and sing in the car. She loves to help me cook dinner and she loves to have her friends over to play. More than anything she loves to go to her friends houses and play. She is a fashionista and will change her clothes 2 or 3 times during the day. Too bad I don't have a bigger budget for cute clothes! She is also doing really well at school and learning to read really good when she wants to sit long enough to pay attention!
Kevin Benjamin
Kevin was kind of being a stinker that day too, not wanting to sit still very long, he just wanted to goof off. He is our goofy little shy boy. He is so sweet. Now that his speech is getting so much better we are discovering what a smart boy he is too! Actually, everyone else is discovering, because I knew since he was 6 months old sitting in his bouncy seat studying everything that he was going to be a smart kid! He is reading so great and loves to do it. He has fun picking out all of Nana's Dr Seuss books and reading them all the way through. He loves to play soccer at school with his friends. He loves to do almost anything his big brother does too.
