Baby No. 5 and the house

No, I'm not pregnant.... But we adopted another "baby" from someone off of Craigslist. She's a cute little 4 mo Chiweenie (Chihuahua & Weiner dog). I saw her dad and he wasn't much bigger than her, so hopefully she wont get much bigger. She's pretty mild mannered so far and loves to be held and bury her head in your lap. The kids love her and like to follow her around everywhere. Her name was Lola, but we changed it to Lulu. She's crate-trained, so she'll be sleeping in a kennel in my room until I'm sure that she wont pee everywhere. She already had one poop in my kitchen.....

So most mornings when we wake up this is our view out the front and back of our house (this is not a picture of our house). Hot air balloons everywhere.... only a few more days until the Balloon Fiesta... we can't wait!

This is a T-Rex that Derek made from different colored shapes at school. He is so creative, it blows me away. I volunteered in his class today and it was so fun being with all the kindergartners and watching them learn and practice what they were learning. They are all so cute!

Well, I forgot to take a picture of the front of the house, so I'll have to do that later... the first picture is our front room (with a cute green sleeper-sofa I got off Craigslist). The second picture is looking from the front door (before the sofa was there).

This is our kitchen. Nothing fancy. The next picture is looking from the fireplace towards the kitchen.

The living room before anything was in there. We're not hanging anything on the walls until we paint.

The upstairs has 4 bedrooms. The first picture is looking towards the loft and stairs. The second picture is in the loft looking towards the rooms.

Our backyard needs some serious work. We planted 7 trees yesterday. The back part is sloped pretty good and its about 20 feet. I'm going to try to terrace it into 3 levels with some railroad ties and then green it up with lots of plants and maybe try my luck with some vegetables again.

This is one of the side yards. Tad is going to put a horseshoe pit on this side. Don't know yet what else we're going to do.

All of this will be a work in progress for a while because it all takes MONEY!!!

New babe is very cute! And the Balloon Fiesta looks like so much fun! I've heard about it all my life--and I'm dying to go someday!
ps--Your house is cute and I think the back yard will turn out fantastic.

I agree CUTE green sofa!! That backyard has a lot of potential. I bet it will look awesome when you're done.

The kids love our dog, she entertains them and I love it! So will it get longer?
