And luckily I had about 4 days in a row where I didn't have to work. She has done great. She pees every time we put her on the potty. Sometimes she even tells me when she has to go. But most of the time, if it has been an hour, I just put her on the toilet. She loves candy so much I used that to bribe her the first 2 days and boy was she NOT happy when that ended. The first time she didn't get a candy (m&m) for going pee, she screamed and got this demonic look on her face and yelled, "CANDY!". Good heavens, I thought the child was possessed. But thankfully almost 2 weeks in she is over the candy.
Poops are hit or miss, literally. She's gone poop on the toilet a few times and we make a really big deal of it, but most of the time it just ends up in her panties. I tried the candy bribe for the poop but that just confuses her and she thinks she can get it for just a pee and then we're back to the whole demonic screaming and walking into walls while crying (remember when we took the binky away?). So, I'm just hoping that someday she'll get the poop part down before I have to wash out too many panties. Call me spoiled, but if there's a lot of poop in the panties, I don't even bother, they just go in the trash. Luckily, that's only happened once with her, we've been able to save most of them and catch her in time. I wish it was warmer and she could just run around naked.
Apart from the messy face and all, aren't her little panties so cute???
Darci really LOVES to play barbies. As part of her bedtime routine, I usually let her play by herself for about 5 minutes while I tuck in the other kiddos. She loves it. I think she might even like barbies more than Paige.
Like almost everyone else I know, we had a house full of sickies a week or so ago. It started with Kevin then Paige got it.
Then Derek kind of got it. I think he mostly just wanted to lay around and watch movies, but who can blame him?
While we were all just laying around, I used part of the time to finally make some of those fabric rosette barrettes that have been floating around everywhere. They are actually super easy.
