Artichokes

Grandpa spent a lot of time nurturing the artichoke plants in his garden only to have them bear fruit just as they leave for their missions.  Grandpa loves artichokes but we've never had them, so I steamed some the other day and the kids enjoyed scraping the leaves.  All except for Kevin.  I don't blame him.  They had a good flavor, but much too much work.  And I couldn't even figure out what the heart of the artichoke was!
