Balloons

Thanks Nana and Grandpa for sending us fun stuff in the mail including these rocket balloons.  We took them to the football track and had fun with them.

Here's a video of the balloon fun...

Pioneer Day celebrations - first was a rodeo in Pima on Friday night.  It rained pretty good so after about an hour we were able to get front row seats because everyone else cleared out!  The kids loved it so we'll definitely have to keep out eyes open for when there's another rodeo nearby.

Then on Saturday was the parade in Pima.  Notice how "clean" our kids are.  We got so busy and weren't keeping track of the time that when we realized it was time to go, there was no time to clean up.  And wouldn't you know it, we ran into several people we knew!  We also saw Grandpa's train in the parade!

I think the kids must have used every blanket in the house for this fort!

The "library" is open for business.  Paige hung up signs all around the house and rented books out to everyone.

Tad slammed his finger in the door and got an "owie"

We woke up Sunday morning to a house full of TP - thanks girls!! (We know it was you!!!)

I finally learned to french braid hair (after watching some you tube videos)!!  It still takes me a long time but I've been experimenting with the girls hair.

Getting dirty and having fun

At the end of every night the kids are just plain dirty!  Hopefully that means we had a fun day!
I took the kids to Roper Lake again this year.  It's more of a pond really, only about 2 or 3 feet deep as far as you can walk, but they had fun floating around.

When it cools off in the evening, the kids have been going outside to play at Nana and Grandpa's playground.  Yes Grandpa, they have resorted to digging in the field because cats have taken over the sand in the litterbox, uh I mean playground.  It's scary how much cat poop we shovel out of there.

And we have taken them crawdad fishing a few times.  Their cousin Jack was here visiting a few days and they liked going over to the canal by themselves and fishing too.

Darci gets so worn out from not having naps that she just crashes...

As much as I love Okra, I can hardly keep up with it, but we do and we all love it. I also weeded the garden down to only 1 zucchini plant because 4 was way too many.  And only 1 yellow squash plant too.  Other than that we have some yellow and red cherry tomatoes and a pumpkin plant growing.

More crawdad fishing...

And things are finally starting to heat up around town as other people are putting up their signs.  It looks quite a bit different than it did a few weeks ago when it was just my sign.  But it's exciting to see that so many people are getting involved this year.  I think there is a really good chance that we can get some new people on the Town Council - hopefully I will be one of them!
