O-BAMA the green dinosaur

Kevin got this green Toy Story dinosaur from my mom for his birthday. He loves it. He asked me what it's name was and I said I didn't know, we can call it whatever you want. He instantly said, "Obama!" So, meet Obama, the green dinosaur!

We had a great rainstorm last night.

Derek has learned to swim FINALLY so next year we'll work on the other 3.

Lulu is loving it in Nana and Grandpa's backyard with the 4 other dogs.

Darci likes to climb up on the table when we're not looking and sneak people's drinks... Yesterday I heard her whining in the kitchen and I walked in and she was hanging off the table.

We finally found a house to rent to rent - just around the corner from Tad's parents. We wont be able to move in there until the end of Aug, so hopefully his parent's don't get sick of us before then and kick us out on the streets!

It's been a busy month and I can't believe it's almost over. Paige and Kevin turned 4 earlier this month and they had a great birthday. Thanks to Nana and Grandpa, Noni and Papa, Grandpa John & Grammy and everyone else that called.

The kids have been having a lot of fun going through Grandpa's garden to see what huge vegetable is ready to be picked! This one is an aremenian cucumber that Derek found. It was pretty good!

Tad took the boys up to Rigg's Lake with a friend the other day. They had a really good time and caught a couple of fish.

Hello Thatcher .... Goodbye Albuquerque

So for those who haven't heard we are now in Thatcher, AZ. It was a quick last-minute move. Tad had been looking for a new job in Albuquerque with no success. We heard that one of his brothers was moving back to AZ so he started looking for jobs in Thatcher to be closer our families. A few quick trips here and an interview later he got the job. They offered him the job on a Thur night and we were on the road the next Tuesday. I had training all day Friday and half day monday and church half day Sunday. So I had Fri night, Saturday and half a day on Sunday to pack. We loaded up the U-haul on Monday and spent the night cleaning and packing up loose things and left Tuesday morning. He needed to be here for a few days to fill out paperwork and get settled.

We're as settled as we can be for the next few weeks. We're staying in Tad's parents' rent house next to their house through the end of the month. Then we'll be in between his parents house and my sisters house in Mesa. Hopefully by then I will have a job and we can find a house to rent.

We were able to get Derek on a coach pitch team and he had his first game last Thursday. It looks like Kevin will be able to go to preschool everyday for his speech. A friend of our teaches ballet so we'll be putting Paige in that (if she behaves herself).

Paige and Kevin turned 4 the day we moved, so we celebrated their birthday here. I'll post pictures when I can. They had a lot of fun.

arci got sick a few weeks ago with hand, foot and mouth disease. No idea where she got it. Luckily she wasn't fussy with it, especially since she got the blisters in her mouth. She had the classic symptoms... blisters on the hands, feet and in the mouth. She's all better now.

My tomatoes are growing! (so far...)

My garden is actually growing.. well some of it is. Here are two little teeny tomatoes I have growing on my Black Krim heirloom tomato plant.

Like Daddy, like daughter... Darci had a black eye for a day or two. She was trying to get away from Paige and smacked right into the foot rest of the recliner.

Derek participated in a track meet/field day for all of the Westside Albuquerque. He did really good and was really proud of his ribbons. He did a 50m dash, a softball throw, and a standing long jump.

We had another impromptu trip to Thatcher this last week. The kids were excited to spend some time with their cousins, Katelyn, Becca and Brittni.
