Fun time with Grandma part 2

OK, lots of pictures below!!! Click on the to enlarge. We took the Railrunner Express train there and back. It was really nice, double decker and everything. So we went on Friday mid morning thinking it would be empty. Wrong! It was so packed, we almost had to stand up with everyone, but thankfully a few really nice people let us have the seats and they stood up instead... The way back wasn't quite as bad because Santa Fe is the first stop getting on. The trip takes about an hour to drive or take the train, but I would much rather pay my $7 round trip and take the train and not have to worry about driving.

Darci did great on the train, there and back. I think she got a bit motion sick on the way back because she spit up all over me at the end of it.

We found a little park near the train station to have a little picnic. In fact we were surrounded by people sleeping on the ground and Mexicans standing on the side of the road looking for work. You don't see any of that in Albuquerque so far that I've seen.

Maya found a dandylion and blew the petals and Paige tried to do that with her yellow flower.

This is the Plaza in Santa Fe. It's a big open area surrounded by shops and side streets with more shops. Next time we'll have to come here without kids so I can actually see all the shops!

Noni bought everyone an ice cream treat!

We found a little park to play in. Jack and Derek climbed up this climbing area and Paige had to try. Here she is going up, up and away. She made it all the way across in her dress without falling.

The trip home, everyone was tired! My mom took these pictures of the kids and their reflections. While we were on the train, we sat next to someone who noticed my CTR ring, so we started talking about the church in Albuquerque and it turns out she was in my step-cousins ward. It's a small world.

Sounds like fun! You and Jacqui always do such fun things with your kids. I wish I was more willing to talke Jackson out to places like that! But he is WAY too hard! Maybe someday we will be able to do more..hehe!
